In partnership with Blancpain, Kultura hosted London’s Leading Female Founders Lunch.

On Wednesday last week, Kultura in partnership with Blancpain hosted its inaugural Female Founders Lunch in quite possibly the perfect venue: Ruth Rogers' famed River Cafe on the banks of the River Thames — a place whose enduring success and cachet is down in no small part to its magnetic founder.

Daisy Knatchbull, Kultura's Editor, held court among some of the capital's biggest names in business — including Whitney Hawkings, Annoushka Ducas, Melissa Obdabash, Chrissie Rucker and Anya Hindmarch. The list was produced in partnership with famed watch brand Blancpain, who themselves share strong roots when it comes to female entrepreneurship. Head of Communications Camilia Ittobane told the story of the first female CEO/Owner of a Swiss Watchmaking House — the formidable Betty Fiechter, who was at the helm of the brand in the 1930’s. Guest drank Blancpain’s own house champagne and grazed on the River Cafe’s famous antipasti — before feasting on the restaurant's beloved grilled-and-then-roasted wild Sea Bass, with olives, Vermentino and rosemary.
