Becoming a mother was the inspiration for Peanut. It was a true need that I had. I was thrown into this new world that I really had no understanding of. I thought motherhood was, “You have the baby, then you need to buy the stuff and everything else is very intuitive”. And it turns out that it’s not. It’s hard and it’s scary, and you have enormous love for this tiny person, but you also are terribly scared and lonely and sometimes bored. And so Peanut was really about this new situation I found myself in. I wanted to look for other groups of women who were going through the same thing as me. None of my other girlfriends were having babies, so how do I really solve that need, and what would that look like, and what would my dream product or service be?
